  1. By looking at the type of music and adverts broadcasted over the hour, I can deduce that the audience will predominantly consist of women in the mid-20's/30's due to the high number of adverts involving shopping, domestic appliances, kitchens and weddings. It also stretches out to women with children, shown by the Oxford Nurseries advert. A car advert suggests that the audience may be doing well but not really well. A slightly older demographic could also be reached thanks to the presence of a Level 42 gig advert. This stretches the audience's age range t about late 30's/early 40's.

The playlist generally consists of love songs with some "feel good" songs. The playlist theme, Time Tunnel, mainly consists of popular chart songs from the early 00's, 90's and 80's which reinforces the older demographic and also has hints of a younger, teenaged demographic. However, while the age range is quite wide, the gender seems to remain the same. This is probably due to the fact that most women who are listening to Heart at this time are at home or on the school run and all the men and fathers have gone off to work.

In conclusion, I have found that the audience age bracket is quite wide but the intended gender of the audience is mainly female housewives who live in a middle income household.
